big bend - the films
In August, el capitán films, will premeire their first film. We would like to invite you to the screening and details are being finalized. The first film from el capitán films is Big Bend - The Films.
Big Bend - The Films follows four people on an adventure through West Texas. The cities highlighted in the film are Odessa, Alpine, Big Bend National Park, and Marfa. The film begins in Odessa with a one-of-a-kind tour and culminates in Marfa with the Marfa Trilogy.
Each guest will receive a DVD packed with short films, featurettes, bonus clips, deleted scenes and much more.

How can I help el capitán films?
We need help in choosing a date, location, and other ideas you might have. We wish to premiere the film on a projector, which we have, but a location is probably top priority.
el capitán films would like to get as creative as possible to kick off the first film in style. Seating options around the screen is cramped in everybody's house or apartment that I can think of. We need enough room to set up the projector and then gather people comfortably around the screen. Comfortability is another top priority.
el capitán films has been exploring outside options. The outside options would have to have a power source and a wall suitable for projecting the picture. Renting a space would be ideal, but we can't imagine anyone allowing us to do this for free. Jodi, your connection with Alamo Drafthouse through Akins, is that a strong enough connection to get us time in the theater - just a dream idea.
